Privacy Policy

Introduction

Prismi (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Prismi browser extension (“the Extension”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled when you use the Free plan or the optional Pro sync service.

Free Plan Data

The Free plan does not require an account. Boards, links, notes, preferences, and other content created on the Free plan stay in your browser’s local storage. We do not use that local content for advertising or tracking.

User-Created Data

When you use Prismi, you may create boards, save links, write notes, and organize tabs. On the Free plan, this data is stored exclusively in your browser’s local storage (browser.storage.local). You can export or delete your local data at any time through the Extension’s settings.

Pro Sync and Account Data

Pro is an optional subscription that syncs the Prismi data you choose to use across devices. To provide this feature, we process your account identifier and store your synced boards, links, notes, and preferences on our sync infrastructure. This data is used only to authenticate your account and provide synchronization; it is not sold or used for advertising.

You can stop syncing by canceling Pro or deleting your account. Your local browser data remains available unless you remove it from the Extension. Contact us at lumanewtab@gmail.com if you need help accessing or deleting synced data.

Browser Permissions

The Extension requests the following permissions to function:

• tabs— Required to save your current tab and display it in your boards.
• storage— Required to save your boards, links, notes, and preferences to your browser’s local storage.
• activeTab— Required so the popup can read the title and URL of the tab you are currently viewing when you choose to save it.

None of these permissions are used to collect data about you. They are strictly necessary for the Extension’s core functionality.

Third-Party Services

Prismi makes requests to third-party services to provide optional features. The data sent depends on the feature you use. Pro payment details are processed by Stripe; we do not receive your full card number.

Location Data

The weather widget can optionally use your geographic location to show a local forecast. Location access is never requested automatically; your browser will ask for your permission. If you decline, the widget simply falls back to a manually entered city name. Coordinates are only sent to the Open-Meteo or BigDataCloud APIs for the sole purpose of retrieving weather data and are never stored or shared elsewhere.

Sharing With Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your data for advertising. We share only the information needed with service providers that operate Pro sync and process payments, and those providers may handle data under their own privacy policies.

Your Rights

You can view, edit, export, or delete Free plan data directly from the Extension. For Pro data stored for sync, you may request access, correction, portability, or deletion by contacting us at lumanewtab@gmail.com.

Data Retention

Free plan data remains in your browser until you delete it or uninstall the Extension. Pro account and synced content are retained while your account or subscription is active and for only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Children

Prismi is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Pro account or sync service.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
