Terms of Service

Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Prismi browser extension (“the Extension”), provided by the Prismi project (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By installing or using the Extension, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the Extension.

The Service

Prismi is a browser extension that replaces your new tab page with a visual dashboard. The Free plan lets you create boards, save links and notes, organize tabs, and use widgets such as a clock, calendar, weather display, and search bar. The optional Pro plan adds synchronization across devices. The Extension and sync service are provided “as is” without any warranties, express or implied.

Accounts

The Free plan does not require an account. Pro sync requires an account so we can authenticate you and keep your data available across devices. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

Pro Subscriptions

Pro costs R$ 6,90 per month, with the first month offered at half price. By subscribing, you authorize the payment provider to charge the applicable recurring fee until you cancel. You can cancel at any time through the available account or customer portal controls. Cancellation stops future renewals; access to Pro may remain available until the end of the paid period.

Payment details are handled by the payment provider and are subject to its terms and privacy policy. Taxes, refunds, and other payment matters are handled according to the checkout terms and applicable law.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Extension for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws. You also agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Extension in ways that could harm its functionality or other users.

Your Content

Any boards, links, notes, or other content you create using the Extension (“Your Content”) remains yours. You retain all rights to Your Content. Free plan content is stored locally. If you enable Pro sync, you grant us the limited permission needed to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to provide synchronization. You remain responsible for keeping backups and for the content you choose to sync.

Intellectual Property

The Extension’s source code is released under the MIT License and is available as open source. You are free to view, modify, and distribute the code in accordance with the terms of that license. The Prismi name, logo, and branding are the intellectual property of the project and may not be used in ways that imply endorsement without permission.

Third-Party Services

The Extension may communicate with third-party services to provide certain features, including weather data, website favicons, payments, and Pro synchronization. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or privacy practices of these third-party services. Your use of third-party services through the Extension is at your own risk.

Disclaimer

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE EXTENSION WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR SECURE.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE EXTENSION, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Termination

You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it from your browser. You may cancel Pro through the available account or customer portal controls. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension or sync service at any time, subject to applicable law. Upon termination, your rights under these Terms will cease immediately, except for provisions that by their nature should survive termination.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Brazil, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brazil.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
